Our Team

The Platform Team Brings Diverse, Complementary Operating Experience & Deep Functional Expertise.

  • Managing Partner

Chris Barkley founded Platform in 2012 and serves as Managing Partner. Before Platform, he founded and led BoxTop Media (dba FreshSpace Media), an advertising and promotions firm serving leading U.S. consumer brands. Earlier, he was an early employee at internet startup CitySearch, participated in multiple acquisitions prior to exit, and co‑founded Avid Networks. After these exits, Warburg Pincus invited Chris to serve as an Entrepreneur‑in‑Residence to help evaluate investments in alternative media.

An early investor in Peloton, Chris now guides Platform’s investment and operating strategy and serves on the boards of TAG Sensors, Prospect Farms, Rambler Sparkling Water, and Cuvée Beauty. Raised between Salt Lake City and Puerto Vallarta—where his family ran a boutique hotel—Chris once guided whitewater rafting trips and remains an avid boater, downhill skier, and bluewater fisherman. He lives in the Connecticut suburbs of New York City.

  • Partner & Co‑Founder

Geoff Jackson co‑founded Platform with Chris and joined full‑time in 2019. He focuses on brand positioning, strategic planning, financial and operations modeling, organizational dynamics/change management, workflow automation, agentic systems, and applied AI.

Before Platform, Geoff joined Chris at FreshSpace Media, where they repositioned the business and expanded the product and service mix ahead of a strategic exit. Earlier, he held leadership roles at The Campbell Soup Company across brand management, front‑end innovation and commercialization, integrated marketing services, and modeling/analytics. At Platform, Geoff has served on the boards or advisory boards of The Living Company, Rambler Sparkling Water, Prospect Farms, and Cuvée Beauty. He holds a B.S. in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Geoff grew up in Tulsa, OK, later lived in Center City Philadelphia and the West Village in New York, and now resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL—usually captaining friends for sunset aboard the Pied‑a‑Mer or catching a well‑deserved nap on the beach.
